This traditional heavy-duty woodscrew is primarily designed for timber-to-timber applications, with additional use for attaching ironmongery to timber or into masonry when employed with a nylon plug. The screw features a hexagon head and conforms to the DIN 571 standard. It is zinc plated and passivated for corrosion resistance. Dimensions are 8.0 x 75 mm, with the thread length equal to two-thirds of the overall length (for example, a 100 mm screw has a ~60 mm thread). Pilot drill holes may be required for certain hardwoods.
