TIMCO Timber Screws are designed for timber-to-timber connections and are suitable for external use due to their robust construction. The screw features a hex head countersunk design with a fixed washer, and it measures 6.7 mm in diameter by 225 mm in length. It is coated with patented multi-layer corrosion resistant plating and is designed to withstand 1,000 hours of salt spray testing in accordance with BS EN 9227:2012. The screw includes a helix shank to remove debris and improve clamping, and a 50° deep single thread to provide a secure fix with high pull-out resistance. A patented lubrication is included to ease insertion and enhance corrosion resistance, making it a practical alternative to traditional coach screws for exterior timber-to-timber applications.
