The TIMco Twin Thread Zinc Countersunk Woodscrew is designed for general use in softwood and various hardwoods. It features a double countersunk head and zinc plating for durability and corrosion resistance. The twin thread design enables faster insertion and greater pull-out resistance, making it suitable for a range of applications. The screw is 7 x 1 inches, made from C10-18 steel, and plated in zinc (3-5 microns). It has a 25° sharp point and a single lead start to aid a fast start, and it is partially threaded from 1 1/4 inches and above. The screw is manufactured to BS 1210 standards and is compatible with TIMco and other leading plastic expansion plugs, suitable for soft timber and can be used in masonry with a plastic plug. The 60° twin-threads with a parallel shank contribute to faster insertion and improved pull-out resistance, while surface hardness reaches up to 750 HV and core hardness up to 450 HV to balance strength and ductility.
