Asteria Move LED table lamp with rechargeable battery for portable use Elegant and offering incredible freedom of movement, the Asteria Move LED table lamp from the Danish design studio UMAGE can be used anywhere in the home. Thanks to its built-in lithium-ion battery, the lamp can provide light for up to an average of 35 hours without being plugged in. The battery can be recharged via a USB-C cable. The round lampshade houses warm white LEDs that emit a cosy and comfortable light, which is distributed evenly in all directions by the integrated diffuser, ensuring a glare-free, soft glow. The touch dimmer on the equally round and solid base makes the light dimmable by allowing it to be dimmed to four different brightness levels by pressing the switch repeatedly. The Asteria collection was designed by the co-founder and Chief Creative Developer, Søren Ravn Christensen. The designer is self-taught and possesses the rare gift of combining design with cost-effectiveness. Speaking about his collection, he says: “The Asteria collection, which was created at the intersection of design, technology and craftsmanship, features integrated LED lights in a sleek, minimalist form.” Together with the current CEO, Jacob Nannestad Hansen, Christensen founded the company UMAGE by VITA copenhagen in 2008. When manufacturing their designer lights, the company places particular emphasis on high-quality technology to offer customers the greatest possible benefit. The concept has proved successful. The Asteria Move table lamp is a beautiful, slim and minimalist light. UMAGE has done it again and designed a beautiful light with attention to design, technology and craftsmanship. The central brass tube, which runs through the lampshade as a vertical axis, gives the lamp a sleek and exclusive look. The brightness of the LED built into the lamp can be adjusted using the button at the base of the lamp. It can therefore be used both as cosy lighting in the living room and as a practical work light on your desk. In addition, the light has a hidden USB port that allows you to charge your mobile phone or tablet – even when the light is switched off.
