The Union 2134E British Standard 5-lever mortice deadlock is designed for external timber doors hinged on either side. Suitable for doors up to 54mm thick, it features a 20mm deadbolt that provides positive deadlocking and can be operated by a key from either side for reliable locking from inside and out. The lock includes advanced security features such as anti-pick, anti-saw, and anti-drill protections, and a chamfered bolt design that improves performance under side-load testing and makes drilling attacks more difficult. Supplied with a covered escutcheon to match the forend, it is kitemarked to BS3621:2007 and carries a 15-year guarantee. The unit uses brass deadbolts with hardened steel rollers and comes with 3 nickel-plated steel keys (KB430). Rebate kits are available in 13mm, 19mm, and 25mm to suit different door profiles. The case size is 67mm x 71.5mm with a 45mm backset, and the forend is finished in Satin Brass. The lock is compatible with doors hinged on either the left or right and is designed for external timber doors.
