Non-nano zinc oxide is often sold without being explicitly labeled as "non-nano" for several commercial, legal and technical reasons. Here are the main explanations: In many jurisdictions (including the European Union), the mention of "nano" is mandatory only if the product contains nano ingredients, not if it does NOT. If zinc oxide is non-nano, the manufacturer is not required to write "non-nano" on the label.
