Zinsser Peel Stop Primer Paint 1 Litre

Zinsser Peel Stop® is a clear, flexible bridging sealer designed for surfaces that are peeling, flaking, dusty, or chalky. Suitable for both interior and exterior use, it forms a breathable membrane over questionable substrates, bonding to old paint to create a sound base for new coats while allowing moisture to escape. This helps prevent further peeling and provides a stable surface for repainting. Coverage is approximately 7.4 to 9.8 m² per litre, with touch dry in 1 hour, hard dry in 7–10 days, and recoat time around 2 hours. Thinning is not recommended, and it can be applied by airless sprayer, brush, or roller.

Peel Stop® is formulated to prevent peeling, blistering, checking, cracking, and flaking on a range of surfaces. It is suitable for indoor and outdoor projects and is designed to help inhibit mould and mildew growth on the paint film for at least five years. The sealer bonds to existing solvent-based or glossy paints, creating a sound surface for subsequent coats.

It is compatible with a variety of substrates, including wood siding and trim, Yellow pine, Rough sawn cedar, Textured plywood, Concrete and concrete block, Stucco, and Galvanized gutters, making it versatile for different restoration tasks. The product is manufactured by Zinsser and carries a model number ZINPSP1L.
