Great paired with a craft beer Also makes a fantastic old fashioned cocktail, or twist on a 'Boulevardier' Oude style Genever is made with a rich base spirit known as 'malt-wine' which has a fruity, malty flavour similar to whisky. This is then flavoured with herbs and spices. For Zuidam Oude Genever, we then age this for 5 years in new American oak casks to enhance the fruity flavours and notes of vanilla and toffee Zuidam Distillers make all of their own 'malt-wine' in traditional pot stills at their distillery in Baarle-Nassau
