Altra Experience Wild 3+ is a versatile trail shoe designed for both running and hiking across varied terrain. It aims to provide stability, comfort, and reliable grip with protection for forest paths, gravel, technical trails, and longer nature journeys. The midsole uses Altra EGO P35 foam to deliver balanced cushioning with a responsive yet controlled feel underfoot. It features a stack height of 32 mm in the heel and 28 mm in the forefoot, with a 4 mm drop to promote a natural, stable transition over many kilometers. The outsole, built with Vibram Megagrip, is designed for high friction on wet and dry surfaces and is paired with trail lugs and an integrated toe protector for added safety on uneven terrain. The shoe’s upper is a breathable mesh, offering moisture-wicking properties and comfort, while a Toe bumper adds protection and coverage on rough trails. An Integrated GaiterTrap allows attachment of a trail gaiter for extra protection and FootShape Fit encourages natural toe splay.
