Altra Experience Wild 3+ is a versatile trail shoe designed for both trail running and hiking across varied terrain. It aims to deliver stability and comfort with a secure grip and protective features suitable for forest paths, gravel, technical trails, and longer nature hikes. The midsole uses Altra EGO P35 foam to provide balanced cushioning with a responsive yet controlled feel underfoot. A heel stack of 32 mm and a forefoot stack of 28 mm, with a 4 mm drop, promotes a natural and stable transition over many kilometers. The outsole features Vibram Megagrip for high friction on wet and dry surfaces, complemented by trail lugs and an integrated toe protector for added safety on uneven terrain. The upper is breathable mesh, with moisture-wicking properties, a toe bumper for impact protection, an integrated GaiterTrap for attaching a trail gaiter, and a FootShape Fit to allow the toes to splay naturally for comfort during running.
