SPAIN MEETS BORDEAUX IN ONE GLASS: Finca Rableros unites Tempranillo, Spain's grape, with Cabernet Sauvignon, the grape of Bordeaux. French and Spanish varieties growing is one of the hallmarks of Somontano. The result is intense and balanced. 70% TEMPRANILLO, 30% CABERNET SAUVIGNON: A 10 hectare estate in Barbastro planted with 7 hectares of Cabernet Sauvignon and 3 hectares of Tempranillo, at 3,200 vines per hectare. The blend combines Tempranillo's fruit with Cabernet's structure. COLD SOAKED, HAND TENDED, BARREL AGED: Harvested in the last week of September, the grapes are cold soaked for six days at 8°C. The cap is worked by hand with two pump overs a day, and the wine completes malolactic fermentation and ageing in oak barrels. A FAMILY WINE FROM SOMONTANO: Made by Bodega Otto Bestué in Enate, D.O. Somontano, where the family have farmed vines since 1640. Lorenzo Otto Bestué and his father built the family winery in the late 1990s, and a new generation shares their wines. RIPE FRUIT, TOAST & VANILLA: Deep cherry red with violet tones, it offers ripe plum, blueberry and raspberry over vanilla notes from the barrel. Intense on the palate, with a long finish. A match for grilled meats, roasts, stews and cured cheeses.
