AN AROMATIC WHITE FROM THE PYRENEES FOOTHILLS: Marina is intensely perfumed, with lychee, white flowers and roses leaping from the glass. Yet it stays fresh and vibrant on the palate. A Gewürztraminer full of personality from Somontano. 100% GEWÜRZTRAMINER FROM FINCA LAS PEDROSAS: A 2 hectare vineyard on Monte de Enate. Its stony soils drain freely, and the grapes are picked at 13 to 13.5% potential alcohol to balance freshness with the ripe floral intensity the variety is loved for. PICKED AT DAWN, SKIN CONTACT FOR AROMA: Harvested at the end of August or early September before dawn, at around 10°C. The grapes are left in the press for 8 hours at 8°C, then fermented in stainless steel and rested on their lees for one month. FROM A FAMILY OF SOMONTANO VINE GROWERS: Made by Bodega Otto Bestué in Enate, D.O. Somontano, at the foot of the Aragonese Pyrenees. Records show the family buying vineyard plots here from 1640, and they still run the winery today. LYCHEE, ROSES & A LONG FINISH: Straw yellow, with lychee over white flowers and roses and a hint of honey. Fresh and vibrant, with lasting aromatic intensity and a long finish. Serve at 8 to 12°C with tapas, seafood rice, nibbles or cheese.
