Dulux Trade Quick Dry Wood Primer Undercoat 2.5L (5081949)

A water-based, high-opacity primer and undercoat suitable for interior and exterior woodwork, fibre hardboard, fibre insulating board (except fire retardant-treated types) and chipboard. It provides strong adhesion and opacity and is recoatable within a couple of hours under typical conditions. The product covers up to around 13 m² per litre on most surfaces and dries to touch quickly, enabling fast recoating. It can be thinned for sealing new or bare surfaces and for normal use, with clear guidelines on the ratio of clean water to paint. It is designed for use over old primers and paints that are water- or solvent-based, and is available in a 2.5L tin from Dulux.

This primer and undercoat combines quick drying with low odour characteristics, and is suitable for both indoor and outdoor woodwork, including MDF.

Usage

1. Thinning for sealing new or bare surfaces: up to 1 part clean water to 5 parts paint
2. Thinning for normal use: should not exceed 1 part clean water to 10 parts paint
3. Recoatable after 2–4 hours (depending on temperature and humidity)
4. Touch dry in 1 hour (dependent on temperature/humidity)
