Its lightweight, non-compacting nature allows delicate roots to penetrate and spread easily, ensuring they are properly anchored and can access essential resources. This leads to more vibrant foliage and a more robust underwater garden.* Enhances Water Clarity and Quality: The highly porous structure of each granule acts as a powerful, large-scale biological filter. This immense surface area becomes a breeding ground for vast colonies of beneficial nitrifying bacteria, which work tirelessly to break down harmful ammonia and nitrite. This natural filtration process results in crystal-clear water and a more stable, healthy environment for all inhabitants. It also effectively absorbs tannins and other impurities that can cause discoloration.Main Features:* Highly Porous Structure: The granules possess a complex network of micro-tunnels and macro-pores, providing an exceptionally large surface area for beneficial bacteria to colonize. This feature is key to its superior biological filtration capacity.* Nutrient-Rich Formulation: The substrate is infused with a full complement of essential elements that are slowly released into the water column, providing a sustained source of nourishment for aquatic plants without fouling the water.* Optimal pH Buffering: Naturally lowers and maintains the water's pH to a neutral or slightly acidic level, creating the ideal water parameters for the majority of tropical fish, shrimp, and live plants.* Lightweight and Non-Compacting: The substrate's physical properties prevent it from compacting over time, which ensures continuous water and nutrient flow to plant roots and prevents the formation of anaerobic zones.Technical Specifications:* Product: Fluval Bio Stratum* Weight: 2 kg (4.4 lbs)* Color: Dark Brown* Granule Size: Fine, porous texture* pH Influence: Buffers pH to a neutral or slightly acidic level (6.0-7.0)* Recommended Use: Freshwater planted aquariums, shrimp and invertebrate tanks.Attributes: Fish, Substrates. tradeinn Bricoinn
