Fluval BIO-STRATUM Substrate for Planted Aquariums 3 Sizes Collected from the foothills of Mount Aso volcano, the Fluval Stratum substrates include a powerful mix of nutrients and minerals to help nurture healthy plant growth and ideal water conditions. Fluval Bio-Stratum is infused with dormant Bioactive Beneficial Bacteria that, once in contact with water, are activated to break down waste and kick-start the nitrogen cycle. Bio-Stratum rapidly helps reduce ammonia to help stabilise water conditions in new aquariums. Ideal for planted, aquascaped aquariums, Fluval Bio-Stratum is a porous, non-compacting, lightweight 1-3mm powder granule which allows the finest and most delicate roots to easily penetrate and spread throughout. The unique curing and heat treatment process helps extend soil life and ensures no parasites are present.
