It will not stain the water and helps control the organic discoloration often caused by natural driftwood.* Perfectly Safe for Invertebrates: Its formulation is ideal for delicate invertebrates, including popular Caridina and Neocaridina shrimp species, providing a safe surface for foraging without harmful chemicals or compounds.Main Features:* Lightweight granules prevent anaerobic compaction and promote healthy root systems.* A highly porous micro-texture provides an enormous surface area for beneficial bacteria to colonize.* Maintains a soft water environment by absorbing calcium and magnesium (lowers GH/KH).* The dark color provides a stunning contrast to green and red plants, making their colors pop.* Ready to use directly from the bag with no rinsing required, preserving the beneficial bacteria.Whether you are building your very first planted tank or executing a complex, competition-level aquascape, Fluval Bio Stratum is the superior choice among aquarium Substrates.
