Flexible adjustable designer wall light BL6 from the Bestlite series This wall light can be used in the complete living area very versatile. This is due on the one hand to the neutral colour scheme in black and chrome and on the other hand to the flexible adjustability thanks to the tiltable arm and the shade fastening by means of a universal joint. The Bestlite luminaire series can be assigned to the Bauhaus style. The original design is by Robert Dudley Best (1892 - 1984), a British industrial designer and heir to the Best and Lloyd company. The BL1 table lamp, designed before 1930, is considered the first Bauhaus design in the United Kingdom. It was first used in workshops and by the Royal Air Force, and later on Winston Churchill's desk. Best expanded production to a series of Bestlite floor, table, wall and pendant lamps. In 2004 the Danish manufacturer Gubi took over the international production and distribution rights.
