Description
Lamp Masters
BL7 Wall Lamp Ø16 Black Brass/Black Brass was designed by Robert Dudley Best in 1930. The elegant and clean lines of the lamp are clear references to the Bauhaus period. The modern expression of the lamp arises from its use of different colours, making Bestlite BL7 perfect for mounting in your hallways, beside your bed or over the kitchen table. Mount it on its own or as part of a cluster to create lighting rich in expression. The Architects Journal named Bestlite the first Bauhaus product in the United Kingdom. This made design enthusiasts across the country notice the lamp and public demand kicked off when Winston Churchill personally selected the Bestlite BL1 table lamp for his desk. This helped ensure the iconic status of the Bestlite brand. The Bestlite design is closely linked to its industrial roots and stays true to its original design. The lamps are on view in permanent exhibitions at the Victoria & Albert Museum and the Design Museum in London. The Bestlite lamp has been used by many architects, designers and design enthusiasts through the years. It truly deserves its acclaim as a modern classic.

Lights.coAdjustable wall lamp BL7 - timeless light source in black brass The BL7 wall luminaire is a highlight both visually and functionally: its design comes from the British Robert Dudley Best (1892 - 1984), a contemporary of Walter Gropius - the founder of the Bauhaus style. Around 1930, Dudley developed the Bestlite series, which includes table lamps, wall lamps, floor lamps and pendants. Bestlite luminaires are appreciated by designers and architects worldwide and are popular furnishings for private homes as well as hotels and restaurants. The head of the wall lamp BL7 is attached to the lamp arm with a ball-and-socket joint so that it can be rotated and swivelled. Since 2004, all Bestlite lamps have been manufactured by Gubi, a renowned producer of high-quality furniture and lighting.
