Lamp Masters The Bestlite BL7 wall lamp in Brass/Black was designed by Robert Dudley Best in 1930. The elegant and clean lines of the lamp are clear references to the Bauhaus period. The modern expression of the lamp arises from its use of different colours, making Bestlite BL7 perfect for mounting in your hallways, beside your bed or over the kitchen table. Mount it on its own or as part of a cluster to create lighting rich in expression. The Architects Journal named Bestlite the first Bauhaus product in the United Kingdom. This made design enthusiasts across the country notice the lamp and public demand kicked off when Winston Churchill personally selected the Bestlite BL1 table lamp for his desk. This helped ensure the iconic status of the Bestlite brand. The Bestlite design is closely linked to its industrial roots and stays true to its original design. The lamps are on view in permanent exhibitions at the Victoria & Albert Museum and the Design Museum in London. The Bestlite lamp has been used by many architects, designers and design enthusiasts through the years. It truly deserves its acclaim as a modern classic.

Classic design wall luminaire BL7 with rotatable and swivelling luminaire head The BL7 wall lamp, which was introduced in 1930, is part of the famous Bestlite series of lamps by Robert Dudley Best (1892-1984), which also includes floor lamps, pendants and table lamps based on the Bauhaus style. BL7 is equipped with a brass-coloured frame; the purist metal shade is attached to the short arm. The shade can be both rotated and swivelled by means of a ball joint, which ensures that the light can be adjusted to suit individual requirements. Thanks to a cable with plug, connection to a power outlet is possible. Whether in private homes or business premises - the BL7 wall luminaire matches many interior design styles and provides uniform additional lighting. After the wall lamp BL7 had been manufactured in the Best & Lloyd factory for many years, the Danish company Gubi took over production in 2004.
