Lamp Masters
The Bestlite BL7 wall lamp in Brass/Grey was designed by Robert Dudley Best in 1930. The elegant and clean lines of the lamp are clear references to the Bauhaus period. The modern expression of the lamp arises from its use of different colours, making Bestlite BL7 perfect for mounting in your hallways, beside your bed or over the kitchen table. Mount it on its own or as part of a cluster to create lighting rich in expression. The Architects Journal named Bestlite the first Bauhaus product in the United Kingdom. This made design enthusiasts across the country notice the lamp and public demand kicked off when Winston Churchill personally selected the Bestlite BL1 table lamp for his desk. This helped ensure the iconic status of the Bestlite brand. The Bestlite design is closely linked to its industrial roots and stays true to its original design. The lamps are on view in permanent exhibitions at the Victoria & Albert Museum and the Design Museum in London. The Bestlite lamp has been used by many architects, designers and design enthusiasts through the years. It truly deserves its acclaim as a modern classic.

Lights.coClassic BL7 designer wall light with a swivelling and tilting head First introduced in 1930, the BL7 wall light is part of the famous Bestlite series of lights by Robert Dudley Best (1892–1984), which also includes floor lamps, pendant lights and table lamps inspired by the Bauhaus style. The BL7 features a brass-coloured frame; the minimalist metal lampshade is attached to the short arm. A ball joint allows the lampshade to be both rotated and swivelled, ensuring that the light can be directed to suit individual needs. A cable with a plug allows it to be connected to a power point. Whether in a private setting or a commercial environment, the BL7 wall light suits many interior styles and provides even supplementary lighting. After the BL7 wall light had been manufactured by Best & Lloyd for many years, the Danish company Gubi took over production in 2004.
