GUBI Bestlite BL7 wall light, brass/grey
Description
Lamp Masters
The Bestlite BL7 wall lamp in Brass/Grey was designed by Robert Dudley Best in 1930. The elegant and clean lines of the lamp are clear references to the Bauhaus period. The modern expression of the lamp arises from its use of different colours, making Bestlite BL7 perfect for mounting in your hallways, beside your bed or over the kitchen table. Mount it on its own or as part of a cluster to create lighting rich in expression. The Architects Journal named Bestlite the first Bauhaus product in the United Kingdom. This made design enthusiasts across the country notice the lamp and public demand kicked off when Winston Churchill personally selected the Bestlite BL1 table lamp for his desk. This helped ensure the iconic status of the Bestlite brand. The Bestlite design is closely linked to its industrial roots and stays true to its original design. The lamps are on view in permanent exhibitions at the Victoria & Albert Museum and the Design Museum in London. The Bestlite lamp has been used by many architects, designers and design enthusiasts through the years. It truly deserves its acclaim as a modern classic.

Lights.coClassic design wall light BL7 with rotating and swivelling lamp head The BL7 wall light, which was introduced back in 1930, is part of the famous Bestlite series by Robert Dudley Best (1892-1984), which also includes floor lamps, pendant lights and table lamps modelled on the Bauhaus style. BL7 is fitted with a brass-coloured frame; the purist metal shade is attached to the short arm. The lampshade can be rotated and swivelled using a ball joint, allowing the light to be adjusted to suit individual requirements. Thanks to a cable with plug, it can be connected to a socket. Whether in a private or business setting - the BL7 wall light suits many interior styles and provides uniform additional lighting. After many years of manufacturing the BL7 wall light in the Best & Lloyd factory, the Danish company Gubi took over production in 2004.
