Multi-Lite designer floor lamp: versatile, adjustable additional light source The special feature of this floor lamp from Hausen is the design of the lampshade. The various metal elements - two quarter spheres and two cylinders in the centre - can be rotated around each other so that the light emitted by the bulb to be used either shines downwards, is emitted indirectly upwards into the surroundings or is emitted asymmetrically. In this way, a cosy atmosphere can be created as desired, for example in the seating area of the living room, which can always be adapted to the respective needs. Louis Weisdorf is the creative mind behind the Multi-Lite design. Die light illustrates the versatility that the Danish designer has acquired in the course of his work in a wide variety of fields. After graduating from the Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen in 1954, Weisdorf worked in the construction industry and from 1961-1971 at the Tivoli amusement park in Copenhagen, where he held the position of chief assistant to the chief architect. At the end of the 1960s, he founded his own Studio in Copenhagen. Stylistically, the Multi-Lite floor lamp is as versatile as its creator: thanks to its timeless aesthetics, Multi-Lite matches numerous furnishing styles.

Lamp MastersThe Multi-Lite floor lamp in Brass/Black embodies the Golden Era of Danish design, thanks to its characteristic shape consisting of two opposing adjustable shades. These make it possible to create a personal expression and a wide range of light intensities in the room. By rotating the lampshades individually, the Multi-Lite pendant can be positioned in various ways, directing the light upwards, downwards, or asymmetrically into the room for a more artistic feel. Multi-Lite was drawn up for the first time in 1972, when Louis Weisdorf made an exception to his usual rule of only using repeating elements. This design reflects his passion for diversity. The lamp is based on two cylindrical shapes, surrounded by a metal ring. The ring anchors two partially spherical lampshades, which complete the iconic design that serves various purposes. Multi-Lite has a timeless expression that is well-suited for any style of décor.
