Lights.co Dimmable designer table lamp Poul Poul – handmade The LED table lamp Poul Poul brings a touch of the African savannah into your living room, as the silhouette of the lamp body and base is reminiscent of an African ostrich. Poul Poul is part of the MaMo Nouchies series of lights, which Ingo Maurer developed together with designer Dagmar Mombach. The trademark of this collection is the fascinating, organic paper constructions, which are handmade in Munich using a traditional Japanese technique in a multi-stage process. The bulbous body of the Poul Poul LED table lamp is also made of this paper. The ribbed surface structure of the paper, combined with the light that shines gently through the paper, creates an effective play of light and shadow, highs and lows. Poul Poul thus guarantees uniform, cosy lighting for living rooms and bedrooms, but also for hotels and restaurants. When switched off, the light remains an eye-catcher thanks to its animalistic shape. The light is equipped with a dimmer switch on the cable, allowing the brightness of the highly colour-accurate light to be adjusted as desired. The paper is an untreated natural product, which is why minor inclusions and thickening are due to the handcrafted nature of the light and are a sign of its quality. Each light is therefore unique and must be protected from moisture, extreme sunlight and strong draughts.

Lamp Masters

The Poul Poul LED table lamp in Natural White/Anthracite by Ingo Maurer is a unique table lamp that doubles as a light object, lending any room a positive and distinctive atmosphere. The lamp's design is inspired by a large, abstract petal, at the end of which a sheet of paper elegantly floats on two slender metal rods. The lampshade is made of Japanese paper, which is produced in Dagmar Mombach's studio using a special process to achieve the desired shape. The table lamp is equipped with an LED module with a cooling element, which was developed by Ingo Maurer especially for the MaMa Nouchies series. The light is warm and soft, making it almost indistinguishable from conventional halogen light sources. With dimensions of 50 cm in length, 20 cm in width and 70 cm in height, this lamp fits into both modern and classic interiors.
