Ronseal Direct to Metal Paint is a water-based finish designed for metal surfaces. It can be applied directly to rust without a primer and provides up to 15 years of protection. The paint dries quickly and becomes showerproof in 30 minutes, covering up to 8 m² per litre. Suitable for a range of metal substrates including steel, cast iron, aluminium, and galvanised steel, it also accepts coats on bare metal and other materials. Available in Gloss, Satin, and Matt finishes and in colors such as Black, White, Steel Grey, Storm Grey, Rural Green, and Chilli Red. Typical coat performance recommends 2–3 coats for maximum protection, with a base that is water-based and sizes of 250 ml or 750 ml. The product is designed for interior and exterior use on bare metal and related surfaces.
