This traditional heavy-duty woodscrew is designed primarily for timber-to-timber applications, and it can also attach ironmongery to timber or into masonry when used with a nylon plug. For certain hardwoods, pilot drill holes may be required. The screw's thread length runs two-thirds of the overall length (for example, a 100 mm screw has approximately 60 mm of thread). It features a hexagon head and conforms to DIN 571, with zinc plating and a passivation finish (CR3) for durability and corrosion resistance.
