The TIMco Twin Thread Zinc Countersunk Woodscrew is designed for general use in softwood and various types of hardwood. It features a double countersunk head and zinc plating for durability and corrosion resistance. The screw employs a twin thread design to enable faster insertion and greater pull-out resistance, suitable for a variety of applications. Specifications include size 8 x 2 inches, material C10-18 steel, zinc plating (3-5 microns), surface hardness up to 750 HV, and core hardness up to 450 HV. The 60° twin-threads with a single lead start and a 25° sharp point allow for quick installation. It is manufactured to BS 1210 standards and compatible with TIMco and other leading plastic expansion plugs. Primarily used in soft timber applications, it can also be used in masonry with a plastic plug, and its double countersunk head helps reduce head shear and aids flush countersinking. Partially threaded from 1 1/4 inches and above.
