Prior to fitting, grease the threads on the nuts and bolts. Maintain a spacing of at least 6 times the diameter of the rope between grips. Orient the grip correctly, with the 'U' bolt on the unloaded end of the rope. Tighten each nut evenly and in turn to achieve the recommended torque settings. Leave unused for 24 hours and check torque settings again, re-tightening if necessary.
