Prior to fitting, grease the threads on the nuts and bolts. Maintain a spacing of at least 6 times the diameter of the rope between grips. Orient the grip correctly, with the 'U' bolt on the unloaded end of the rope. Tighten each nut evenly and in turn to achieve the recommended torque settings. After 24 hours, check the torque setting again and re-tighten if necessary. After the first load application, re-check and re-tighten the torque setting if necessary.
