Classic and aromatic Ceylon Highlands loose black tea from high-altitude plantations on Ceylon Island (now Sri Lanka). This tea is strong and aromatic, pleasantly stimulating, and improves concentration and brain function. Ceylon Highlands black tea is extracted from the Camellia sinensis var. sinensis bush. This tea is created by oxidising the green leaves. Compared to green tea, this black tea has fewer catechins, as the oxidation process produces theaflavins and thearubigins, which give the brew a brownish hue. Black tea, like green tea, contains a lot of nutrients, and vitamins and is therefore an excellent beverage for everyday drinking.
