Hashira pendant lamp with cylindrical textile shadeThe Hashira pendant lamp resembles a traditional Japanese lantern made of rice paper in its design, but its shade is not made of paper but of fabric. It is stretched around the metal frame, whose struts are visible through the fabric and give the lamp a graphic effect. The pendant lamp owes its name to its shape, because Hashira is the Japanese word for column. The Hashira lamp series was designed by the design company Norm Architects. The design studio, founded in 2008, mainly works in the fields of residential architecture, commercial interior design, art direction and graphics and points to the importance of standards and traditions for the fields of architecture and aesthetics through the deliberately chosen name Norm. Timeless and durable products are the result of the designs of this design studio.
