Hashira Cluster pendant lamp in the design of a rice paper lanternHashira Cluster is a pendant lamp whose design is reminiscent of traditional Japanese rice paper lanterns. Its shade consists of three cylindrical individual shades that have been put together to form a triple structure. The lamp owes its name Hashira to the cylindrical shape of the individual shade elements, because it is the Japanese word for column. The design company Norm Architects is responsible for the design of all lamps of the Hashira series. The design studio, which mainly works in the fields of residential architecture, commercial interior design and graphics, attaches great importance to timelessness and durability of the products it designs, which is also reflected in the Hashira luminaire series. The name Norm Architects was deliberately chosen by the founders of the company. It is meant to underline the importance of standards and traditions for the fields of aesthetics and architecture.
