For a fruity flavour and smooth texture. After 120 years dedicated to tomatoes, Mutti's experience means we know different landscapes produce tomatoes with unique characteristics and flavours - and these characteristics come through in the final product. Mutti Passata from the Tuscany region is made using only the highest quality Rossoro tomatoes from Tuscany that have been harvested at their peak ripeness and processed within 24 hours. The Rossoro tomatoes have a distinct fruity flavour which is brought to this smooth passata. The Rossoro tomatoes are chosen specifically for this passata and grow in the hearof the Vallle d'Oro in Tuscany. To make our Passata, these sun-ripened tomatoes have been sieved, blitzed to a smooth puree and slightly reduced - this means it has a velvety texture free of seeds and skin. It is ideal for dishes that require short cooking times and can be simply heated to make a quick pasta sauce or tomato soup.
