THE ORIGINAL RYE WHISKY: Stauning’s Danish rye whisky offers a taste of rye grains which have been grown on the West Coast of Denmark for over 2000 years, this rye is deeply rooted in the land and cultural heritage of Denmark. Made with local Danish rye and barley using traditional craftsmanship. LOCAL INGREDIENTS: Made with 100% local Danish grains - rye and barley - that are floor malted in the distillery, then double distilled in 24 small direct-fired copper pot stills, and aged in American oak casks, to produce whisky with a rich rounded flavour. TASTE AND CHARACTER. DESIGNED IN DENMARK: With a slightly higher abv of 48% and with no corn in the mash bill like American counter-parts, Stauning rye whisky is a full bodied, robust fruity rye with a wonderful spicy and peppery finish.
