Its innovative wing design allows for efficient reaming of timber, enabling the screw to achieve maximum revolutions per minute (RPM) without overheating. The screw features a fine self-tapping thread that penetrates both wood and metal, and when the wings contact metal they break off to permit the thread to self-tap into the metal. With a metric thread and wings designed to ream out timber, this fastener is suited for heavy sectional work. The screw is 5.5 x 65 mm, comes in a bright zinc electrolytic plating with a clear toxin-free finish, and uses a Phillips countersunk head (PH3). It also includes a self-drilling tip and a hex head with washer, offering robust performance for demanding carpentry and metal-work applications.
