It features a self-tapping wing-tip design and a self-drilling tip to help the screw navigate into timber and metal efficiently. The screw measures 4.8 x 38 mm and is supplied in boxes of 200. It has a bright zinc electroplating finish for durability and a toxin-free appearance. The drive is Phillips countersunk with a PH3 bit, and the product uses a zinc-plated coating to protect against corrosion. When driven into metal, the wing tips break off to permit the thread to self-tap into the metal, enabling high RPM performance without burning out. This screw is specifically designed to attach wood to light sectional steel, combining a coarse self-tapping thread with wings to ream timber as needed during installation.
