The TIMco Wing Tip light section screw is designed for securely attaching wood to light section steel with a maximum timber thickness of 5 mm. It features a coarse self-tapping thread with wings that ream out the timber to enable high RPM operation without overheating. On contact with metal, the wings break off, allowing the thread to self-tap into the metal for a strong hold. The screw is hex-headed with a washer, has a self-drilling tip, and is zinc plated for corrosion resistance. This product is sized 5.5 x 65 mm and is supplied in a box of 200. It uses a Phillips countersunk head (PH3) and a zinc finish that is bright and toxin-free.
